Donald MacKenzie
Donald MacKenzie was born in Knock, Isle of Lewis, Scotland about 1815. His father was Kenneth MacKenzie, a crofter from 9 Knock. His mother was Christian “Kirsty” MacLeod. Donald was one of twelve children.

Henrietta MacKenzie was born in Sheshader, Isle of Lewis, Scotland in about 1819.

Donald was born in Knock in about 1815.
Knock is located at the western end of Point close to the isthmus that links to the main part of Lewis.
Henrietta MacKenzie
Henrietta Mackenzie was born in Sheshader in about 1819.
In about 1840 she was married to Donald Mackenzie. The lived in 9 Shulishader and raised seven children.

Donald was a fisherman sadly lost his life in a fishing accident in Broad Bay on 2 February 1859. No bodies were recovered.
